The PM20 is a hollow body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1997. It is the second signature model for American jazz guitarist and composer Pat Metheny. It was made in South Korea by Cort.
The PM20 features a full-sized, full hollow body design with an arched top and a single Venetian cutaway. Metheny's flagship PM100 as a pair of sharp Florentine cutaways and is also made in Japan at a higher price point.
The PM20 has an arched laminated maple top with ƒ holes and binding on maple back and sides mated to a set-in mahogany neck with a 22-fret ebony fingerboard with binding and pearl/acrylic and abalone split block position markers. Components include a single Ibanez Super 58 humbucking pickups with gold cover installed at the neck, a Gotoh Tune-o-matic style bridge floating on a wood base with a custom tailpiece, a bone nut, Sure Grip knobs, a stereo output jack and Gotoh tuning machines.
