One of thé last `Vintage´ Stratocasters. Strats from ´68, ´69 & ´70 all share the same specs and are identical. This is Jimi Hendrix´ favorite Stratocaster model! Sounds deep, fat and this Strat in Sunburst is just a killer guitar!
This 1970 Strat has the decal with 2 patent no.´s on the headstock. Old style bridge with steel block and punched saddles. Finish with catalised undercoat & lacquer topcoat. Four bolt neck, no Walnut skunkstripe, dated grey bottom pickups.
7 3/4 inch radius Fretboard, bone nut. Slim type neck profile. Neck is in great playing condition, and the trussrod is only tightened slightly. The guitar has had a refret whick was professionally and well executed. The celluloid pickguard is a typical feature for this Stratocaster (Mother of Toiletseat on one side and aged white on the other).
Like as with just about any old Strat, a 5-way switch has been installed.
